When North Carolina sophomore John Henson bypassed NBA riches this month because he was still enjoying college life too much, priceless moments like this one were probably what he didn't want to give up.
In the video below, Henson and Harrison Barnes watch North Carolina teammate Kendall Marshall attempting the "Cinnamon Challenge," a popular dare in which a person attempts to swallow a tablespoon of cinnamon without gagging or inhaling the powder. Despite his dapper attire and false bravado, Marshall's attempt goes about as poorly as you'd expect.
In fairness to Marshall, he's certainly not the only college student to try to down a spoonful of cinnamon and fail miserably. There are numerous videos on YouTube of others doing the same dare, some with more success than others.
What prompted Marshall to attempt the Cinnamon Challenge? We may never know all the details. Hopefully it was more than just a friendly wager, however, because the cinnamon goes down about as smoothly as a spoonful of sawdust.
