Juventus FC: Giuseppe Rossi Closing in on a Deal with the Old Lady

According to a number of media outlets, Juventus are close to finishing a deal that would have Giuseppe Rossi, an American-born Italian, come to Torino this summer. Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta is expected to travel to Spain within the next two days to finalize the deal with Rossi's club, Villarreal.

Juventus have apparently already agreed to terms with Rossi on a four-year deal that would pay him around four million euros annually.

Juventus originally proposed an offer of 20 million euros, but Villareal rejected it, insisting they will not let their top scorer leave for anything less than 30 million. Juventus, who are no longer after Atletico striker Sergio Aguero, are reportedly willing to match the price Villarreal have set for him.

The striker, who is willing to move to Italy to secure his spot on the national team, is seen by many as a future replacement for current club captain and talisman Alessandro Del Piero.
