A bench-clearing scuffle erupted TExas A&M and Arkansas as the Aggies were on their way to their seventh straight victory.The scuffle started early in the second half when Arkansas' Jeff Peterson knocked Texas A&M's Dash Harris to the court as he was crossing the halfcourt line. Aggies coach Mark Turgeon was in the process of calling a timeout, which diverted Harris' attention.
Texas A&M's Khris Middleton tried to help both of the players up, but one of his teammates was pushed into the returnin Arkansas players, escalating into a shoving match on the sideline.
NO punches were thrown.
The officials sorted out the situation after 10 minutes. Marvell Waithe of Arkansas and Kourtney Roberson of Texas A&M were ejected.
Saturday's game marked the first time the two teams played since they were rivals in the now-defunct Southwestern Conference.
