Antonio Freeman considers it a privilege to spend part of his holidays visiting with American military troops in Kuwait.
He considers it an honor to shake the hands of men and women and thank them for their daily service and sacrifice.
He considers it a lifetime opportunity to share time and stories with persons he considers real heroes.
And, sure, Freeman wouldn't mind scoring another touchdown or two while he's there either.
Freeman, a Virginia Tech product and once one of the NFL's top wide receivers, is among a group of football greats participating in a week-long tour to the Persian Gulf for a flag football game with soldiers, called the Connect to Home Bowl.
The event, sponsored by Tostitos and the USO, got under way Saturday and Sunday with visits to Camp Arifjan and Camp Patriot in Kuwait.
