Dominique Corder was shot and killed early Saturday morning in his hometown of Indianapolis.The 20-year-old quarterback was shot in the stomach on the Westside of Indianapolis at 12:40 a.m. New Year's Day. The police reportedly have not determined a motive or suspects for the shooting.
Corder was standout at Manual High School in Indianapolis, a southwest side public school, and then at Central Lakes Community College in Brainerd, Minn.
He led his team to the 2010 state community college title by winning the Valley of the Sun Bowl in Arizona. He was named the MVP of the game and also was a National Junior College Athletic Association All-American.
