Wrestlemania has always been a big moment for any wrestling fan and superstar.
Matches at Wrestlemania have been used to build careers, end careers, gain media attention, but most importantly—entertain the fans.
In this article we will take a look at the top twelve things WWE should make happen in order to keep all of these purposes alive. From main event matches, to the little moments, everything needs to be memorable and enjoyable to watch.
Wrestlemania is still just over a month away, so hopefully they will make sure big things happen.
12. Undertaker beats Triple H.
Undertaker's streak is important to many fans, and Wrestlemania itself.
Having the streak end would be something huge, yet very unlikely. This match needs to be made as unpredictable and exciting as possible. I would have Triple H appear on Smackdown and attack The Undertaker, making this a real feud people would want to see even more.
11. Steve Austin makes an appearance.
This would not only help promote Touch Enough, but it would be something everyone would love to see.
Have him talk about it for a while, then bring out someone (Shemaus maybe?) to confront him. Have them get in a fight, make Shemaus look good for a moment by giving him the upper hand, then have Austin come back with a Stunner.
This will make the fans happy.
10. Money in the Bank.
This is always one of the most exciting matches of the show.
WWE needs to use it to push forward a new main event star. Names like Christian, John Morrison, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, and Wade Barrett all come to mind as the top people who should be used to win this match.
My pick out of these is either Christian, who more than deserves a world title, and John Morrison, who WWE has been trying hard to push as of late.
9. Dolph Ziggler should make his return.
I think it's safe to say we all know that him being "Fired" was just a storyline.
He has hinted that he will be returning to Raw. I would have there be a mystery contestant to the Money in the Bank match, being Dolph Ziggler. Whether he wins or loses, it will create some excitement and wonder as to what will happen and if he will win.
WWE does officially recognize him as a world champion, so you never know.
8. The Intercontinental and United States Titles need to be defended.
It's sad how little these titles seemingly mean nowadays, so let's give them some time at Wrestlemania.
There should definitely be a new, exciting match for both titles. I would make sure both are a first time ever match, and that there is some story involved. Don't just throw together two people; make it special.
For example, have a tournament on both shows to see who will meet the champion at Wretlemania, then have some interesting promos and segments between the champion and challenger.
7. Use the Stables.
The Corre and The New Nexus should both play some role in the show.
For example, the Corre could help Wade Barrett win Money In The Bank, or The New Nexus could help CM Punk beat Randy Orton.
Why not continue the rivalry between the two? Have Jackson. Gabriel, and Slater meet Otunga, McGillicutty, and Ryan in a six-man tag.
6. Jerry Lawler should beat Michael Cole.
Lawler is a guy who has put on matches in the last few weeks that run circles around the youth of WWE today—he deserves a big win.
Michael Cole is getting to be a major heel in WWE. That's huge for someone who isn't an actual wrestler. WWE should make as good a match as possible between the two, since there's already a great story involved here.
I would have Jerry get the win after punching Cole's lights out (since the piledriver is banned).
5. Make some title changes.
Whether it's the WWE, World Heavyweight, Intercontinental, or U.S. Title, there needs to be some kind of change.
I would say both world titles, and at least the Intercontinental Title should change hands. John Cena should win, wrap up the feud with Miz, and continue with CM Punk. Albert Del Rio needs this win to officially become a main event superstar. Kofi Kingston isn't doing much, I would have someone new challenge him and win.
Daniel Bryan needs a title to keep him strong while WWE continue to build him up, give him a good match and the win.
4. CM Punk beats Randy Orton.
CM Punk is the most entertaining thing on Raw right now.
This is a good feud going on between the two. Have Punk beat Orton, so he gets his revenge from two years ago when Orton cost him his title. Have another good match or two between them on Raw, and give Orton a win.
An interesting idea is making one of their matches a number one contenders match for the next pay-per-view.
3. Alberto Del Rio beats Edge.
A lot of people are saying Edge needs this win, but I will have to disagree.
Edge is at a point where he will always be a top star. Alberto Del Rio is a man destined to be a main event superstar. Give him this win to make it happen. You can always have Edge (or another name) win it back.
Don't yet complain about the lack of challengers, remember the draft is shortly after Wrestlemania.
2. John Cena beats The Miz.
This match will probably be most people's bathroom break.
We've seen it before, and it's nothing special. Hopefully, this match will at least end up being a special match, like a Cage Match, Street Fight, or maybe a Last Man Standing Match. Keep it unpredictable and as interesting as possible.
John Cena should then move onto a WWE Title feud with CM Punk.
1. The Rock and John Cena.
Somehow, these two need to meet in the same ring.
I would make this segment as good as possible. The Rock said he will never leave WWE again. While it's highly doubtful, maybe John Cena and The Rock will meet one on one someday. If so, make this segment build up a match between the two.
Either way, make sure there aren't any interruptions from The Miz, Nexus, etc. for now at least.
These 12 things I have listed would make this years Wrestlemania a worthy watcher. Whether they happen or not, I'll be watching it.
Thanks for reading my first article, hope you liked it. Feel free to comment on what you think should happen.
