Florida Holds on to Upset No. 10 Kentucky

Chandler ParsonsBrandon Knight spurned his home state of Florida when he signed with Kentucky, but the freshman couldn't put the nail in the Gators' coffin Saturday night in Gainesville. Knight's three-pointer just before the buzzer sounded came up short, and Florida (18-5, 7-2) escaped with a 70-68 win over No. 10 Kentucky (16-6, 4-4).

Knight's heroics were paramount in leading Kentucky back from a 13-point second-half deficit, but poor rebounding doomed the 'Cats as Chandler Parsons preyed upon the offensive boards, leading the Florida attack.

Parsons scored 17 points and added 12 rebounds, including a couple of huge put-backs late to lead the Gators. Kenny Boynton added 12 points, while Gators leading scorer Erving Walker struggled, going just 1-for-9 from the floor and finishing with only nine points.

Knight played huge in his home state, scoring 24 points while hitting shots from everywhere on the floor. Terrence Jones added 18, but the freshman forced several plays late when Kentucky needed a bucket.
